1. Estimates, not advice
Everything DogDecide publishes is an estimate for planning purposes. Our ranges are built from published averages and are deliberately wide. They are not a quote, an offer, a valuation, or a prediction about your dog, your city or your circumstances.
2. Not veterinary advice
DogDecide is not a veterinary practice and does not provide veterinary advice. Nothing on this site is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition in any animal, and nothing here should be used as a substitute for examination by a licensed veterinarian. If your dog is unwell or injured, contact a veterinarian. If the situation is urgent, contact an emergency veterinary hospital rather than reading a website.
3. Not financial, legal or tax advice
Our tools help you build a budget and compare predictable costs. They do not constitute financial, investment, legal, tax or insurance advice, and no adviser–client relationship is created by your use of this site. Decisions about insurance, borrowing or spending are yours.
4. Accuracy and corrections
We work to keep published ranges accurate and sourced, and we correct errors when we find them or when they are reported to us. We do not warrant that the site is free of errors, complete, or current at the moment you read it. Prices, premiums and veterinary charges change frequently and vary substantially by location.
5. Affiliate disclosure
Some outbound links on this site are affiliate links, and we may be paid a commission if you follow one and sign up for a product. This does not increase the price you pay. Affiliate links are labelled where they appear. Commissions do not influence which ranges we publish, and several pages carry no affiliate links at all.
6. Advertising
Some pages may display advertising. Advertisers have no editorial input into our content, cannot review it before publication, and cannot pay to change a range or a conclusion.
7. Acceptable use
You may read, cite and share DogDecide content with attribution and a link. You may not republish our content wholesale, present it as your own, scrape it at volume, or use it to train a model for commercial redistribution without written permission. If you would like to reuse something, ask — the answer is often yes.
8. Intellectual property
The text, calculators, design and code on this site are the property of DogDecide unless otherwise stated. The underlying data we quote belongs to the organisations that published it and is attributed in our methodology notes.
9. Third-party sites
Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, products, prices, security or privacy practices. Your dealings with them are between you and them.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DogDecide is not liable for any loss or damage — direct, indirect, incidental or consequential — arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or any figure published on it, including any decision about acquiring, insuring or caring for an animal.
11. Availability
The site is provided as is and as available. We may change, suspend or remove any tool or page at any time without notice.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top of this page will change when we do, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
